You don’t have to drive to New England to go leaf peeping.
The leaves have begun their annual display in Prospect Park’s Nethermead, and atop trees throughout Brooklyn. So savor the warm air today and embrace the fall chill when it returns. And be sure to visit your local park or stroll down the nearest wooded lane so that you can catch the show, before it’s too late.
It won’t be long before that crisp atmosphere will be an arctic blast and a simple trip outside will require constant attention to the ground to avoid ice patches and massive pools of black slush at crosswalks. But there’s no need to think about that now. Just keep looking up.
