Senior steal

Police arrested an 81-year-old woman who they say stole clothes from an Avenue U department store on Nov. 19.

Cops said the senior walked into the store near Flatbush Avenue around 5:45 pm and placed four items of clothing into her shopping bag. When she tried to leave the store around 9:35 pm, security discovered the items and she was apprehended, according to cops.

Some fraud charged $1,894 to an E. 65th Street woman’s credit card on Oct. 17.

The woman, who lives near Avenue N, told cops someone made the transaction on her card at the Macy’s store in Manhattan sometime between 12:01 am and 11:59 pm, according to the report.

Whose account?

Someone deposited two checks into an E. 56th Street woman’s bank account on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18.

The woman, who lives near Avenue U, told cops that someone deposited the checks totaling $3,991 into her account sometime around 8 am on Nov. 17, but then withdrew $700 around 3:30 pm on Nov. 18, according to the report.

In-and-out haul

A nogoodnik broke a Shore Parkway parking lot gate and stole a generator from the back of a truck parked there sometime overnight on Nov. 17.

The truck’s owner told police that the locked commercial vehicle was parked in the lot near Flatbush Avenue on Nov. 17 around 2 pm. Cops said when he went to his truck the next day around 7:30 am, he discovered the broken fence and missing generator.

Big draw

A trickster used a Schenectady Avenue woman’s checkbook to make a large withdrawal sometime between Nov. 7 and Nov. 10.

The woman, who lives near Avenue J, told police that someone made out two checks totaling $57,000 from her missing checkbook, according to cops.


Some pilferer swiped a bag and laptop from a woman’s car parked on Ralph Avenue on Nov. 15.

Cops said the woman parked her vehicle near Avenue N around 6:25 pm and went to therapy, leaving her bag inside. When she returned 25 minutes later, she found the back-seat window of her car broken and her bag and computer gone, according to police.
