A pair of goons drove up to a man on Mermaid Avenue on March 3, flashed a gun, and demanded cash.
The man told police he was walking his dog near W. 24th Street when a burgundy Honda Accord cruised toward him at 6:20 am. The driver and his passenger initially asked for directions and then one of the brutes pulled out a black firearm and said, “Give me everything you got,” according to a police report. The man forked over $1,140 before the car sped off on Neptune Avenue toward W. 23rd Street, authorities said.
A mask-wearing baddie held up a Mermaid Avenue bodega at gunpoint on March 2.
A witness told police that the disguised ruffian charged into the store between W. 18th and W. 19th streets at 6:40 pm, brandished a gun, and grabbed $150 from the cash register. The goon fled on foot in an unknown direction, officials said.
Police arrested a knife-wielding man for breaking into a woman’s Avenue X apartment on Feb. 28 and attacking her.
The woman told police that she was in her abode between W. Eighth and W. 11th streets at 11 pm when the home invader busted in through a window.
The man got into a verbal dispute with the woman before he lunged forward, strangled her, and slashed her hand and stomach with a pair of knives, according to a police report.
Police arrested a man for choking a woman on Neptune Avenue on Feb. 28.
The woman told authorities that she was in her apartment building between W. 32nd and W. 33rd streets at 2:40 am when a man approached and began squeezing her neck.
After escaping the chokehold the woman called police, who canvassed the area and found the man on the roof of the building where signs clearly stated, “No trespassing,” according to a police report.
Police arrested a man who they say smashed a glass bottle over a guy’s head on March 4.
The victim told police that he was escorting the rowdy patron out of a billiards hall between Brighton Beach Avenue and Brightwater Court at 7 pm when the man grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it over his head.
Police on the scene arrested the man and discovered a knife in his vest pocket, officials said.
