Bite outta crime

Police arrested a woman allegedly caught swiping shoes from Cropsey Avenue residents on July 9, according to police.

Two residents saw the woman, who didn’t live there, in the hallway of the building between Bay 22nd and Bay 23rd streets at 6:30 pm allegedly taking the shoes, and confronted her. In the resulting melee, the woman bit them both — one on the leg and finger and the other on both hands, police said.

Responding officers cuffed the toothy transgressor, and found that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant, according to police reports.

Schoolhouse block

A driver repeatedly hit a school principal with her car on Cropsey Avenue on June 15 after the administrator asked her not to move her car while the school conducted an evacuation drill.

Disregarding the request, the driver proceeded to move forward, striking the victim’s right knee three to four times while the principal told her to stop outside the school near Bath Avenue at 8:55 am, according to police reports.

The incident, which caused swelling and bruising to the principal’s leg, was caught on video, authorities said.

Pizza slam

Two nefarious characters robbed a pizza-delivery guy when he arrived to make a delivery on Bay 11 Street on June 22.

The two men approached the victim between Benson Avenue and 86th Street at 1:10 am, showed money to pay for the pizza, and asked for change. Then one pulled out a gun and said, “how much money do you have?” according to police reports.

They proceeded to take the culinary courier’s wallet, $100, and his cellphone, and demanded his phone’s password, cops said. Not content with that, the two goons then ransacked the victim’s car and the bodyslammed him on the sidewalk before fleeing, authorities said.

Toy story

Some scoundrels snapped a chain securing the rear doors of a van parked on 20th Avenue on July 4.

The creeps stole $1,250 worth of toys, sunglasses, and backpacks from the van between Benson and Bath avenues at 3:30 am, which the owner used to store merchandise for his business, according to police reports.

The caper was caught on surveillance video, authorities said.

Bench warrant

A knife-wielding goon stole a woman’s phone on 21st Avenue on June 21.

The victim was sitting on a bench between 72nd Street and 73rd Street checking her phone at 11:35 pm when the nogoodnik flashed his blade and snatched the device, authorities said.

The crook took off down 72nd Street toward 20th Avenue, according to police reports.
