Trio on the loose

Cops cuffed two teens for punching a 65-year-old in the face and stealing his wallet on Brigham Street on Oct. 4.

Five suspects came up to the guy near Avenue W at about 6:50 pm and started punching him in the face, neck, and back, officials said. The suspects then grabbed his cash, two credit cards, metro card, and driver’s license from his pockets and ran off. Police caught and arrested two of the teens but three others are still outstanding, according to authorities.

Fled empty-handed

Some sneak broke into a guy’s house on E. 26th Street and ransacked his cabinets on Oct. 1, police said.

The guy told police he had left his house near Avenue U at 5 pm, and when he returned at 9 pm, noticed the bedroom window on the second floor was broken and that the punk had rummaged through his cabinets, according to authorities. But the victim isn’t sure if anything was taken, officials said.

Try, try again

A punk broke into a guy’s home on E. 26th Street, breaking the door on Oct. 1, police said.

The 70-year-old guy told police he heard a loud noise from the back door of his home near Avenue T at about 8 pm and then saw the cur enter through the rear door, breaking the knob and door, according to authorities. But the baddie fled without taking anything, officials said.

Elder abuse

A malefactor broke into an elderly woman’s house on E. 14th Street and swiped a wad of cash on Oct. 2, police said.

The 98-year-old woman told police the criminal entered through her unlocked door near Avenue V at about 2 am and stole $300 in cash from her drawer, and then fled, according to authorities. The victim told police she may know the crook since they knew where the money was, officials said.

Backdoor bandit

Some prowler broke into a guy’s house on E. 13th Street and stole thousands in jewelry on Oct. 2, police said.

The 47-year-old victim told police he had arrived home near Avenue X at about 8:45 pm when he tried to open his door and heard the looter run to the door and lock it from inside, according to authorities. The filcher swiped his platinum “J” earrings, bozex watch, movado pen, platinum “tear drop” chain necklace, and platinum “J” ring worth a total of $2,250, and then fled through the rear bedroom window, officials said.
