Grabbed and fled

A burglar broke into a Flatbush Avenue store sometime overnight on Oct. 21.

Police say the store’s owner opened his shop near Quentin Road around 10:15 am and discovered the back door forced open. Cops said the thief removed a disc from a surveillance system, and pried open a cash register. The register did not have cash in it but the pilferer managed to get away with some cash found in the store, according to the report.

Gate crasher

Another crook broke into an Avenue U store sometime overnight on Oct. 22.

The shopkeeper told cops that around 7:40 am he found the front metal gates to his store near E. 38th Street damaged. Police say the burglar got away with some cash from a drawer.
