Man wanted for allagedly stealing iPhone from 9-year-old boy

Police hunting for a man they beleive stole an iPhone from a 9-year-old boy after threatening to kill him in the elevator of his apartment building in Brighton Beach on Oct. 25.

The suspect allegedly approached the boy at around 2:30 pm inside the elevator and threatened him and demanded his phone before fleeing. The boy was not injured.

The suspect is a male in his late teens with braided hair, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477, or for Spanish, (888) 577-4782. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

Well, are you surprised? Why would a nine year old have an iPhone? Are you surprised the at the race of the perpetrator? He is obviously from CI looking for victims in predominantly
white neighborhoods. If he stole from a victim in his own “hood” he would be shot. This is why the stereotype of a certain race is always looked down upon.
