Each evening before my household settles down for the night, I check my front and back doors. I make sure all is locked and secure and my family is safe. Millions upon millions of Americans, no matter where they come from preform the same ritual each and every night from sea to shining sea — they lock up and go to bed.

Celebrities, the uber rich, politicians, those who live in high-rise luxury buildings with 24-hour concierge service or on compounds protected by great big walls, electric gates, guard buildings, and so on, security teams 24-7 to protect them.

Secret Service details are provided, on public funds, and assigned to protect former presidents and their wives for life.

All hired personnel 24-7 that monitor who comes in and who goes out — if you are not invited in you are asked to leave.

Many celebrities that have been so bothered by unwanted individuals go to court seeking an order of protection, whereby preventing these persons from invading their space within a set boarder. If that person or persons do invade their space and violates the order they are deemed illegally trespassing and can be prosecuted.

Yet there is not one word from any newspaper, media outlet, or activist that decries these individuals racist, xenophobic, dictator, Hitlerian. Why? Because they are just protecting their right to safety.

They are surely keeping out unwanted, illegal, and uninvited persons from entering their space.

President Trump’s ban is temporary. All he has accomplished is to lock the front door, he has engaged and instructed his 24-7 concierge service to protect the property against those people who have not been invited in, and after a specified length of time and proper vetting he will again re-visit their right to come in.

He is not a racist, he is not xenophobic, he is not a dictator — he is a home owner. The head of household who is protecting home, land, and residents — providing all of us a peaceful, safe night’s sleep.

And like any head of a household the President knows that not all refugees are criminal and not all immigrants have nefarious reasons for coming here. He is aware that many individuals only want to be safe in a land that offers so much, but he can’t be sure of who is who, so like all cautious persons, he is instructing his concierge to ask “Who is it and what do you want?” when they come knocking.

Politicians who are more petrified of losing votes and losing their lifelong cushy seats and security are out there shedding great big crocodile tears. Celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon and made speeches, yet each go home and live behind their own walls and gates.

Oh, yes, they show up at news conferences and make grandiose statements, “Government isn’t doing enough,” “Stricter this” “Ban guns,” blah, blah, blah — but in the end they lock their own doors. Hypocrites.

Not for Nuthin, President Trump has done exactly what he has set out to do. He promised change, he promised to protect his home. He has done exactly that.

My President is attempting to keep us safe and is doing a super-sensational job of it.

Very poor analogy.

Janice from Marine Park says:
I hate to think where we'd be headed (or beheaded) if HRC had lived up to her promise to emulate Angela Merkel. Bankrupt the country, give away everything that everyone and their grandparents worked for, throw open the borders, throw out the constitution and replace it with shariah law.

And Obama - you're fired!

Susan Jacobs from Bensonhurst says:
The countries on the travel ban have never sent terrorists to this country. Saudi Arabia has and is not on the list, but Pres. Trump has business dealings there. The refugees stopped from coming here have no interest in Sharia Law. They just want to live in peace. Also, many private organizations including the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society has been resettling Middle Eastern immigrants here at no costs to taxpayers- all private funds. Yes, extreme vetting is very important but the ban is wrong.

Nelson Ortiz from Bay Ridge says:
I genuinely appreciate the "IDEA" of keeping us safe, but the approach is entirely wrong. There is no way to be an isolationist nation in the technology age.

The spread of information is too vast and important to close ourselves off from the rest of the world.

The scary part is that "Muslim Extremists" will use Trump's actions as a rallying cry and will increase in numbers.

I'd love for our country to focus on right-wing extremists that are ACTUALLY killing people in our country vs a potential threat from the middle east.

@Nelson Ortiz Please provide info re any "right-wing extremists that are ACTUALLY killing people in our country." Or did you just make that up because you are a leftist? By the way, the terrorists who attacked UC- Berkley last night were leftists and anarchists.

Here is one source Albert. There have been quite a few studies, polls of law enforcement, and articles about this.

The Socialist Anti-American New York Times has less validity to me than Breitbart or The Wall Street Journal would have to you. I was looking for a credible source. If that rag is the best you can do, then you have no proof at all.
