A Madison man hit by a car on Nostrand Avenue on Dec. 12 has died of his injuries, 19 days after the crash.
Stewart Feldman, 70, was struck just outside his Nostrand Avenue home between Avenues R and S at 6:55 am as he crossed mid-block, police said.
Emergency personnel brought Feldman to Kings County Hospital Center in stable condition, but on Dec. 30 he died from the injuries he sustained in the collision, according to police.
“He wasn’t likely to die based on the initial analysis,” said a police spokesman. “But he died based on his injuries.”
Neither the 74-year-old driver nor his front-seat passenger were injured, according to a police spokeswoman.
The diver remained at the scene and there are currently no charges, but the Highway Collision Investigation Squad was still investigating the incident as of Jan. 2, the spokeswoman said.
